Maplegrove’s principal managers and owners, who provide 3 generations of ownership and management continuity, are:

Jim Anderton, B.A, M.B.A., Ph.D., Managing Member – Executive Chairman and founder, is responsible for locating, vetting, financing, and purchasing apartment properties. He also directs the receiver, financial, and legal activities of the company. Jim is a licensed Michigan Associate Real Estate Broker and Maplegrove Property Management is licensed as a Michigan Real Estate Broker and Residential Builder.

Steve Calverley, B.A., Managing Member – Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for the management of all apartment and condominium-related activities in central and eastern Michigan. He holds construction and real estate-related certifications from multiple states, the National Association of Homebuilders, and the National Association of Realtors. Steve is a licensed Michigan Associate Real Estate Broker.

David Emdin, B.A., Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for the management of properties managed by Maplegrove in west Michigan. In this capacity, he has responsibility for the efficient and profitable operations of these properties, and the staffing and training of Maplegrove associates employed in their operations. David is a licensed Michigan Associate Real Estate Broker.

Amy Jarrad, B.A., is Chief Financial Officer. She and the other members of our accounting and financial group are responsible for the accurate and timely publication of property balance sheets, income statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and banking matters. This group also works with CPA and audit firms regarding year-end reports and tax filings.

Glenn Prinzing, B.S., is Vice-President of Construction. In this capacity, he is responsible for the efficient scheduling of the maintenance staff and assuring that the work is completed in a quality manner. Glenn is a Michigan Licensed Builder and uses his degree in Building Construction Management to also manage estimating and construction work for Maplegrove.

Barbara Witkowska, B.A., M.A., is Chief Administrative Officer. She and her staff are responsible for assuring the availability of state-of-the-art communication capabilities between our clients and Maplegrove associates. This work focuses heavily on telephonic and electronic interfaces. Barbara also provides website maintenance services to Maplegrove clients.

The 103 Maplegrove associates manage over 50 properties and manage each as though they own it.
